Some fun hacking project using Amazon Dash Button and Raspberry Pi. Amazon Dash button is a $5 device to purchase a product from Amazon by just pressing a button. When the button is pressed, the device boots up and tries to connect to a preset Wi-Fi, and Raspberry Pi 2B detects the ARP request sent from Amazon Dash Button and executes a script. Raspberry Pi retrieves today's quote by making RESTful API request to TheySaidSo and plays a speech of the quote retrieved from Google's TextToSpeech API.
